The State University of New York Board of Trustees on Tuesday confirmed Katherine Conway-Turner as SUNY Buffalo State president, completing a 10-month search.

Conway-Turner, who will earn $240,000, is scheduled to start on Aug. 4.

SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher chose Conway-Turner from among five finalists.

Trustees meeting at the University at Buffalo’s North Campus interviewed Conway-Turner, 61, during an executive session Monday.
