DUNKIRK – A 33-year-old Dunkirk woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after state troopers pulled her over for using a cell phone while driving Saturday.

Christy Smathers was arrested on Vineyard Drive in the Town of Dunkirk, initially for using a cell phone while driving. She was charged with aggravated unlicensed driving after troopers found her license had been suspended for an earlier traffic incident. She faces Dunkirk Town Court proceedings on the aggravated unlicensed driving and cell phone while driving charges on July 14.
