A glitch with a database continues to prevent 10 percent of Time Warner’s customers from accessing their RoadRunner email accounts.
“It’s just very frustrating,” said Paul Krol, a Depew resident. “I haven’t had email service since last week Monday. I need my email.”
Scott Pryzwansky, Time Warner’s director of public relations, said the problem was first identified Wednesday, and it stems from an issue with a database used by the email servers.
Pryzwansky said the problem is being addressed.
“We are working around the clock to resolve this issue and to provide all of our customers the reliable service they’ve come to expect from TWC,” he said in an email.
“We apologize to our customers and appreciate their continued patience as we work to resolve this issue.”
While several measures have been taken to permanently fix the problem, they’ve been unsuccessful so far, Pryzwansky said.
“We don’t have a resolution date at this time but continue to make this a top priority.”
Krol said the service has been either totally out or sporadic. He called customer service last week and today. And he’s gotten $10 credited to his account with each call.
“The credit doesn’t do me any good. I just want my email service,” he said.
Krol said his email has been down in the past but just for a couple of hours or so.
“It had been a very good service without any major problems until now,” he said.
