Broadway Hope is holding a new event in Lancaster on June 28 – a full day, free outdoor music festival featuring local, regional and national Christian artists. Activities begin at 10 a.m and run through 7 p.m. at 6101 Broadway.

HopeFest Christian Music Festival will feature recording artists and performers Awakening, Moe Badger, Elmwood Drive, Joe Frey, hip hop artist Legacy and others. Broadway Hope is a faith-based nonprofit providing a place for youth and others to play, picnic, hike, camp and host events.

Also featured will be Erin Kelly, daughter of Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly. Motivational speaker and coach Mike Masters also will be there.

Chiavetta’s chicken dinners will be served from 1 to 5 p.m. and donations will be accepted. Net proceeds will go toward a picnic pavilion with bathrooms for future guests of Broadway Hope.

This week:

• The Lancaster Town Board meets in a work session at 6:30 p.m. Monday, followed by a 7 p.m. business meeting at the Town Hall, 21 Central Ave.

• The Lancaster Village Board is expected to discuss the West Main Street project in a work session at 7 p.m. Monday in council chambers of the Municipal Building, Broadway and Central Avenue.

• The Lancaster Town Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, 21 Central Ave.
