Where we live: Clarence


The Clarence High School PTO has made arrangements for food trucks to visit the school’s back parking lot from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. during final exams, beginning Monday.

Three to five trucks will be there daily and will donate 10 percent of their proceeds to the PTO for future projects. Sales are open to students, faculty and staff, parents and the public.

Also this week:

• The new season of Summer Concerts on the Lawn at Asa Ransom House, 10529 Main St., begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with jazz and soul stylings of My Cousin Tone. Admission is free. Refreshments will be available. Lawn chairs are welcome.

• Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs will be the guest speaker as the Clarence Chamber of Commerce hosts an after-hours business blender at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the offices of Brian Parisi Copiers, 8316 Main St. Refreshments will be served. • Five Clarence High School seniors – Hailey Feind, Gavin Ford, Mark Gramajo, Emilee Krug and Sarah Probst – are recipients of the Clarence Women’s Club’s 2014 scholarships. Funding was raised at the club’s 51st annual Scholarship Card and Game Night on May 6.
