Town of Tonawanda man hurt in car-motocycle crash

A Town of Tonawanda man suffered what town police called serious leg and internal injuries when his motorcycle and a car collided Sunday morning.

Adam J. Hamilton, 28, was listed in stable condition in Erie County Medical Center.

Police said Hamilton was following a northbound car on East Park Drive shortly after 6 a.m., when Hamilton apparently tried to pass the car on the left as the driver was starting to make a left turn into a parking lot. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the car, a 2012 Fiat.

After the collision, Hamilton’s motorcycle slid across the parking lot of the town Senior Citizens Center, 291 Ensminger Road, striking the southeast corner of that building, police said..

Police did not release the identity of the driver of the car.
