Three men struck by gunfire

Three men were struck by gun fire just after 11 p.m. Saturday on the first block of Courtland Avenue in Buffalo, Buffalo police reported today.

The men, who range in age from 18 to their mid-20s and whose names have not been released, were sitting in a parked vehicle when they were shot at and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

They were transported to Erie County Medical Center, where one of the victims, in his mid-20s, is in stable condition, police said. The other two were treated and released.

The victims were sitting in a 2014 Subaru Legacy when the unknown suspect approached the vehicle and fired multiple rounds. One victim was shot once in his right arm, another once in his back and a third once in his lower back and once in his shoulder. A fourth man in the car was not struck.

An assault rifle was recovered on the 100 block of Courtland. Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to call or text the confidential TIP-CALL at 847-2255.
