Marek Kobialka, a construction engineer with the Niagara Power Project, recently received, on behalf of the New York Power Authority, the Structural Concrete Repair Award from the Western New York Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. The award was for work practices related to the repair and restoration of the dam face of the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant.


Bank of Akron named Ryan Houseman systems support specialist. Houseman attended Finger Lakes Community College and has seven years of information technology experience.


Mackenzie Cady has joined Copier Fax Business Technologies’s client services team. Cady previously was with the Concord Grape Belt Heritage Association’s Grape Discovery Center. She graduated from Fredonia State College.

Delaware North Cos.’ Parks and Resorts Division, through its environmental management system, GreenPath, was recently honored with the Sustainability award at the National Restaurant Association’s annual Operator Innovation Awards.


Moog Inc., East Aurora, was awarded a $249,229 federal contract for direct-current generators from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia


DRS ICAS LLC, Buffalo, was awarded a $63,900 federal contract for the repair of power supplies from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Mechanicsburg, Pa.


The Food Bank of Western New York received a $10,000 grant from the Citizens Bank Foundation as part of its Citizens Helping Citizens Fight Hunger initiative. The Food Bank will use its grant toward its Summer Vacation From Hunger program and help provide nutritious food to children who are missing school meals throughout the summer, as well as provide children with a safe, supervised, fun environment while school is out. These summer snack programs and camps are located throughout the Food Bank’s four-county service area, including Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara.
