LOCKPORT – A 21-year-old North Tonawanda man stopped for using a cell phone and not using a seatbelt Thursday on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Town of Wheatfield was charged by State Police with drug and marijuana possession.

John M. Cobernus was found to have a glass pipe with marijuana and 60 pills of different controlled substances in his vehicle. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and seatbelt and cellphone violations. He faces further proceedings in Wheatfield Town Court on June 25.
