A Ripley man was arrested Thursday morning for running a marijuana-growing operation. State police obtained a warrant to search a barn belonging to James E. Chambers, 41, and found a number of marijuana plants and a quantity of processed marijuana.

Chambers, whose barn and house share the same address on the 4100 block of Sinden Road, was arrested on charges of criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing marijuana. The resident of the Town of Ripley, Chautauqua County, is to appear June 30 in town court.
