Falls business is hit again by metal theft

NIAGARA FALLS – Nearly $10,000 worth of generator and electric wire were reported stolen from MGM Electric Supply’s storage building on Fairfield Avenue. A man who was arrested for a previous theft at the business is suspected.

Sometime between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 9:45 a.m. Wednesday someone entered the fenced yard, climbing over a fence, and then broke a window to gain entry. Stolen were a $2,000 generator cable, 100 electrical contact coils and 25 110-volt cord ends. Total loss and damage $9,850.

The complainant told police that after he discovered theft he drove around looking for suspects and saw a man carrying a sack with a generator cable sticking out of it get into a blue minivan.
