The Buffalo Boys tournament team won the North American Shoot Out squirt hockey championship held in Rochester. The undefeated Buffalo Boys were led by Quentin Musty, Cameron Murdie, Bryson Roberts, Ryan Kates, Andrew Usinski, Riley Cwiklinski, Chase Krtanjek, Brennan McDermott, Mateo Torrez, Alex Viney, Nick Taylor and Ian Krakowiak. BASKETBALL: The Buffalo 716ers are still accepting registrations for their indoor 3-on-3 basketball tournament called the “Street Ball Remix” June 28-29 at Tapestry Charter School. Cost is $150 per adult team and $100 for youth teams (boys and girls ages 10-17). There will be cash prizes for the men’s division champion ($1,000), runner-up ($300) and third-place ($100) teams. SOFTBALL: The Town of Hamburg Department of Youth, Recreation and Senior Services is accepting registration for its adaptive Clinic for individuals with physical and mental disabilities to be held on Tuesday evenings from June 24 to Aug. 26 at the Hamburg Carnegie Sports & Recreation Park). Field 2. Find Your Niche (for individuals with Asperger’s syndrome, nonverbal language disability, NVLD and high functioning autism) will be held from 6 to 6:45 p.m. The Disabled but Able and Group Home participants (geared toward individuals challenged by mental and physical disabilities) follows from 7 to 7:45 p.m. The cost of the program is $10. The Softball Clinic provides participants with a general knowledge of the game through a series of skill development stations in a non-threatening environment.
