A 32-year-old Wilkes Avenue man was charged Tuesday with stealing a rental car in which he allegedly fired three shots from a .45-caliber pistol on Ernest Avenue about noontime Monday.
Kevin M. Skinner II was charged about 10 a.m. with criminal possession of a weapon in the third-degree, reckless endangerment in the first-degree, grand larceny in the fourth-degree, criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of stolen property.
After a round of questioning, Skinner was charged with being the person who fired three shots into the dash board of the stolen rental car he was driving Monday. The Buffalo Police Camera Room was credited with confirming that a gunshot could be observed in the front seat of the stolen car on Ernest Avenue around noon Monday. Police said Tuesday that three bullet holes were found in the car.
