DAYTON – A 28-year-old Depew man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle heading south on Edwards Corners road as he reached the “T” inersection with Cottage Road here about 7:55 p.m. Sunday.

Patrick M. Foote was pronounced dead at the scene by Cattaraugus County Coroner Howie Van Rensselaer. State Police said reports had Foote failing to reduce speed and traveling past a stop sign at the intersection, losing control of his cycle when he failed to negotiate the turn and being thrown off the vehicle. State Police were assisted at the scene by crews from the Dayton, Perrysburg and South Dayton volunteer fire companies.
