Tuesday is the deadline for early registration for the West Seneca Community 5k run/walk, which will be held later this month.
Age groups range from 14 and younger to 70 and older for the event, which will start and finish at Centennial Park on June 26. Organized by the West Seneca East Spirit Boosters and the West Seneca West Sports Boosters Clubs, all proceeds help support students in the West Seneca School District.

• Applications still are being accepted for the second annual “Love Everybody 5K Run and Fun Walk,” which takes place Saturday at Northwood Elementary School. It’s held in memory of Devin Miller, an 11-year-old Northwood student who loved to run, who died after being hit by a car in December 2012. • A proposal by DePaul Properties to build a 100-unit, three-story apartment complex at 2412 Seneca St. to house people with mental illness is on the agenda of this week’s town Planning Board meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. Thursday in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 1250 Union Road.
• Main Street Marketplace will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday on the grassy hill at Main Street and Union Road – adjacent to Town Hall. In case of wet weather, vendors will be on the hockey rink parking lot behind Town Hall.
