A Buffalo woman accused of selling cocaine as part of a larger drug ring pleaded guilty Friday before U.S. District Court Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Kayla Renee Combs, 24, admitted taking part in a Cleveland-to-Western New York drug-trafficking organization that prosecutors claim included three others from Buffalo and Niagara Falls.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Mary C. Baumgarten said Combs is the first defendant in the case to be convicted.

Combs’ plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Niagara County Sheriff’s Department, Niagara County Drug Task Force and the North Tonawanda Police.
