NORTH TONAWANDA – Northpointe Council’s new North Tonawanda Coalition will offer kick off meetings that focus on “Drugs, Alcohol and Our Youth: What Can We Do as a Community.”

Meetings will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school library at North Tonawanda High School, 405 Meadow Drive and on June 16, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.

Samantha Gilday of the Northpointe Council said the new coalition will address some of the concerns residents have about underage drinking and drug use in the community and also keep them aware of some of the trends in drug use and informed of the laws.

“Hopefully this will give some information about some of the things that we’re aware of and it will connect people with each other and know that they are not alone with their concerns,” she said.
