Colligan Law managing partner David J. Colligan was elected chairman of Launch NY’s board of directors. Colligan has served as a board member of Launch NY, a nonprofit venture development organization, since December 2012.


David Kofke, University at Buffalo SUNY Distinguished Professor in the department of chemical and biological engineering, was named a fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Fellow status in the AIChE is one of the highest honors a chemical engineer can achieve and is recognition of outstanding contributions to both the profession and the institute. To qualify, one must be a practicing engineer for more than 25 years, a member of the institute for 10 years and be sponsored by five peers.


Snelling, a national talent management and job placement firm, awarded its Top Recruiting Honor to Alison Zubin-Manaher of its Amherst location. The award, which honors Snelling offices with excellent revenues and customer service, singled out Alison as one of the top recruiters gross margin among Snelling’s 104 offices nationwide.

MVP Network Consulting, Buffalo, was awarded a $61,852 federal contract for radio frequency power components from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Command, Control and Communications Engineering Center, Portsmouth, Va.


Moog Inc., East Aurora, was awarded a $357,994 federal contract for analog to digital converter equipment from the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia.


The public accounting firm of Ernst & Young and its staff members have contributed more than $35,550 to the University at Buffalo over the past year. Included in the total amount is a gift of $17,775 from the Ernst & Young Matching Gifts Program to the UB School of Management for use by the school’s department of accounting and law.
