WILSON – A Cheektowaga man stopped for traveling nearly 30 miles an hour over the speed limit just before 9 p.m. Saturday on Wilson-Burt Road was charged with drunken driving by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies.

Brian S. Hamilton, 33, of Danbury Drive was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding.

Danbury was observed by a deputy traveling 84 in a 55 mph zone, heading northbound on Cambria-Wilson Road. After he was stopped he told deputies that he had two to three drinks.

Deputies said Hamilton was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent, which was above the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
