RealtyUSA buys another Watertown agency

RealtyUSA, the biggest independent brokerage firm in the state and the dominant player in Western New York, is expanding again in the North Country to increase its presence in the Watertown market.

The Orchard Park-based firm is acquiring Coldwell Banker Rimada Realty as of June 1, adding offices in Watertown and Carthage, along with their staff of agents. On top of the merger two months ago with Elliott Realty, which has offices in Watertown and Henderson Harbor, and a previous office in Clayton, RealtyUSA is now the market leader in that region.

Overall, the firm owned by Merle Whitehead has over 60 offices and about 2,500 agents in Western New York, Rochester, Syracuse, northern New York, the Southern Tier, the Albany area and Montrose, Pa.
