LOCKPORT -- Training for camp volunteers for Niagara Hospice’s Camp Hope in Barker for grieving children will be held Saturday .

Niagara Hospice will offer the free Camp Hope for children age seven to 13 from June 27-29 at the YMCA’s Camp Kenan. The Barker camp is open to children from throughout Western New York who have lost a loved one through death, whether or not they received hospice care.

Volunteer training will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport. To register to volunteer, call Hospice’s bereavement department at (716) 280-0777. Anyone interested in a free application to attend this year’s camp may also call the same number or visit www.niagarahospice.org. The deadline for camp applications is June 17.
