Buffalo police arrest five men on drug charges

Buffalo Police said they found 54 bags of marijuana and one bag of crack Tuesday afternoon when they entered a house on the 100 block of Fougeron Street.

Police responded to a call of marijuana being sold to a juvenile, about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Five men inside of the house – Ramone D. Gillie, 31, Bernard Palmer, 24, Markeel Hilson, 18, Daemen M. Collier, 24, Eugene S. Jackson, 23, and Sherron D. Key, 30 – were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana. All except Jackson of Tonawanda are residents of Buffalo.

The drugs were found inside a shoebox on a book shelf in the living room, police said.
