Niagara IDA sets public hearings on three projects

LEWISTON – The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency will hold a public hearing at 3:45 p.m. today in Lewiston Village Hall, 145 N. Fourth St., on a plan to convert the vacant former Fairchild Manor nursing home into apartments.

James Jerge of Orchard Park is seeking a 15-year property tax break on the $4 million plan, which would produce 30 apartments.

The IDA also scheduled two other public hearings on upcoming projects.

A hearing on a 10-year tax abatement for a $1.37 million addition to the headquarters of Reid Petroleum, 100 W. Genesee St., Lockport, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in Lockport City hall, One Locks Plaza.

A hearing on the 15-year tax break sought by Irr Supply on a $2.25 million makeover of its headquarters at 908 Niagara Falls Blvd. North Tonawanda, is set for 3:45 p.m. Tuesday in the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.
