Q: I was troubled by the season finale of “The Following.” Will there be more episodes to resolve that last scene? – Jim Stark, Clifton, N.J.

A: Yes, there will be more. Fox renewed the series for a third round even before Season 2 ended … and in the same way that threads from the show’s first year played heavily into the second, you can expect that a similar path will be taken in moving from the second year into the third.

Q: I really enjoy “Face Off.” Will it be back? – Ted Storm, Lynnwood, Wash.

A: It will. In recent years, the Syfy makeup competition series has been renewed before the season it was in finished, and that happened again recently.

Host McKenzie Westmore and company got a pickup for Season 7 just before the Season 6 finale was shown, and that new round – bearing the theme “Life and Death” – is slated to begin in July.

Q: I’ve enjoyed the show “About a Boy.” When did the movie version come out? – Lisa Potter, Jupiter, Fla.

A: The Hugh Grant-starring film – based, like the NBC series, on Nick Hornby’s book – was released in 2002. It’s interesting to note that the “boy” in the picture, Nicholas Hoult, has grown into a striking young leading man. He reprises his “X-Men: First Class” role as Hank McCoy, aka Beast, in the current “X-Men: Days of Future Past”; “Jack the Giant Slayer” and “Warm Bodies” are among his other recent credits.
