Two Bradford women, stopped for speeding, face drug charges

Two Pennsylvania women are facing drug charges after sheriff’s deputies found them in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop Friday in the Town of Concord.

An Erie County Sheriff’s deputy pulled the Bradford, Pa. women over at about 7:45 p.m. for driving 90 miles per hour in a 65 mile-per-hour zone on Route 219.

Deputies interviewed the driver, 32-year-old Amber L. Bruce, and the passenger, 19-year-old Karlie A. Ryan. They were found to be in the possession of more than eight ounces of marijuana, various narcotic pills, $15,000 in cash, a couple of scales and glassine envelopes.

The two women were charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a controlled substance. In addition, Bunce was charged with criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic infractions.
