LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls burglar was sentenced Friday to three years in prison and five years’ post-release supervision by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Donald E. Rubin, 43, of 16th Street, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree burglary for the July 27 break-in at a home on Willow Avenue in the Falls. A DVD player and an Xbox system were damaged in the burglary.

In another case before Farkas on Friday, Mayne D. Marvin, 55, of Payne Avenue, North Tonawanda, pleaded guilty to felony driving while intoxicated.

Marvin’s blood alcohol content was measured at 0.28 percent after he allegedly plowed his auto into some parked cars on July 14. Farkas scheduled sentencing for Aug. 8.
