The Western New York Flash lost its second straight game, 2-1, against the Portland Thorns FC late Wednesday night.

Portland took a 2-0 lead before the Flash got on the board with a goal from four-year veteran McCall Zerboni in the 57th minute. Despite pressure and scoring opportunities, the Flash could not get the equalizer and fell to 3-3-1 (10 points).

The Flash closes out its three-game road trip Sunday playing at Seattle Reign FC at 7 p.m.

The team returns to Sahlen’s Stadium on May 31 to face the Houston Dash in the expansion club’s only visit to Rochester this year.
