LOCKPORT – A Town of Lockport man, who had been indicted in connection with two cocaine sales, reportedly told Niagara County sheriff’s deputies a woman was giving him a ride out of town when they caught him this week.

Daquan T. McDougald, 19, of Lincoln Avenue, was captured Tuesday and arraigned Wednesday in Niagara County Court on felony charges stemming from two alleged drug deals with police informants Jan. 7 and Feb. 5 in the Town of Lockport.

Assistant District Attorney Laura T. Bittner said McDougald told the arresting officers that he knew of the felony warrants and was trying to get away.

“The heat’s coming down,” County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas said as she set bail at $10,000.
