Re-use plans for Holy Angels Academy aired

Plans to re-use Holy Angels Academy will be discussed in a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. today in St. Rose of Lima Elementary School, 201 Winston Road.

The Charter School of Applied Technologies will relocate its three middle school grades from its Kenmore Avenue campus to the former Catholic school at 24 Shoshone St.

The school closed in June 2013 and was purchased by developer and School Board Member Carl P. Paladino in August. McGuire Development purchased a 50 percent stake in the property in December.

The charter school, University Council Member Rasheed N.C. Wyatt and McGuire Development are sponsoring today’s meeting.
