FC Buffalo player wins honor

FC Buffalo attacker Russell Cicerone was named the Mitre National Player of the Week for the National Premier Soccer League. He is the first player in club history to earn the honor.

Cicerone, who also plays for the University at Buffalo, scored two goals on Friday in a 4-2 win at Erie and took the corner kick that resulted in a goal in a 1-1 draw on Sunday against AFC Cleveland.

FC Buffalo plays at the Indian Fire on Sunday and next plays at home June 1 against the Erie Admirals.
