A 43-year-old Alden woman was arrested on aggravated drunk driving and other charges after she allegedly almost crashed into a New York State trooper’s patrol vehicle on Wende Road in the Town of Alden about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday.

After Yvonne M. Bukowski was flagged down near her own home on the nearby Old Wende Road in Alden, she submitted to a breath test that showed she had a blood-alcohol reading of 0.27 percent, over three times the state’s legal limit.

She was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after a check of her driver’s license showed two prior convictions for aggravated DWI. She was also charged with failure to keep right and after an alcoholic beverage was found in the driver’s side cup holder of her vehicle she was also charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle on a public highway. Bukowski was issued traffic tickets for Alden Town Court proceedings in several weeks.
