LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls woman who succeeded in the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment received her reward Friday in Niagara County Court.

Doris Irizarry, 44, of South 87th Street, was placed on three years’ probation by County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas, but the time spent in diversion, which Irizarry entered in April 2012, counts toward the three years.

On Feb. 28, Irizarry was allowed to withdraw her original guilty plea to third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and change it to a misdemeanor, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She sold cocaine May 5, 2011, in Niagara Falls.
