Roswell Park Alliance Foundation Community Board member and co-chairman of the Ride For Roswell, Terry Bourgeois, was honored at Praxair Technology’s annual shareholders meeting for the impact that he has had on the company’s involvement in the Ride For Roswell, and for his commitments and contributions to the work being done at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Since Bourgeois became involved with The Ride, Praxair’s team has grown from a handful of riders in the late 1990s to 116 riders in 2013. Currently, more than 60 employees and their families also serve The Ride as volunteers, and in 2013 alone, the Praxair team raised a record $113,396 from rider pledges, employee donations and a grant from the Praxair Foundation.


Buffalo-based Gibraltar Industries appointed Assemblywoman Jane Corwin, R,C,I-Clarence, an independent director on the board of directors.


Fidelis Care promoted John Golimowski to director, claims processing. Previously, Golimowski was claims project specialist. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Fredonia State College.

Consolidated Insurance Agents, an insurance agency based in Amherst, recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with Merchants Insurance Group. The agency joined with Merchants in 1984 but has been in business since 1983.


Amherst-based New York State Realty is teaming up with the Amanda Hansen Foundation to create a resource that supplies carbon monoxide detectors to those who cannot afford them and to educate and bring awareness about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. New York State Realty has committed to donating $100 for every completed transaction in which clients use the agency’s licensed realtors to purchase or sell property.
