Deanna A. Brennen, president and CEO of the Niagara USA Chamber, has been honored by the State Senate as a “Woman of Distinction,” State Sen. George D. Maziarz announced Thursday.

Brennen worked for 13 years for the Niagara County Community College Small Business Development Center before becoming head of the Chamber in July 2007. She also served on the board of the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency until earlier this year.

The Senate’s “Woman of Distiction” program was started in 1998 as a way to honor one woman from each Senate district whose achievements “serve as an example to all New Yorkers.”
