The High Time Stables team of high school equestrian athletes from Western New York will compete Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Hunt Seat National Championship in Springfield, Mass. Competition will be in both high school and middle school divisions.

The High Time’s team qualified for the nationals by finishing in the top three in Zone 2 (New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania). The high school riders are: captains Sarah Klocke and Jamie Thuman, Fiona Nocera, Lissy Naber, Aubrie Gluszak, Katelyn Cefali and Karli Morrill. They will compete in Equitation classes, both over fences and on the flat. Other team riders are Megan He, Theresa Cometto, Miranda Alessi, Rachael Surowiec and Emily Kerl.

The team trained under trainer/coach Leigh Fischer and assistant coach Barb Koziol at Sugar Brook Farm in East Aurora.

The IEA format requires that riders compete in unfamiliar tack on unfamiliar mounts. Horses are drawn at random on the day of competition.
