LOCKPORT - A Lyndonville man was sentenced Tuesday to six months in Niagara County Jail to start a five-year probation term for a felony count of driving while intoxicated.

James P. Smith, 38, of South Main Street, also was ordered by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas to pay fines and fees totaling $1,520. Smith was arrested in Royalton May 18, when police measured his blood alcohol content at 0.15 percent.
