Nik Wallenda will walk from the edge of the Erie County Fairgrounds into the Gusto Grandstand, a distance of 1,400 feet, on Aug. 10. The walk, almost double, his typical walk length, will be 125 feet above the Fairgrounds on a wire that will measure just five-eighths of an inch in diameter – about the diameter of a nickel.

This is a return engagement to the Erie County Fair for Wallenda, who performed there with his family when he was 13.

Wallenda and his team of engineers have worked on plans for what he has called “a major stunt worthy of the 175th fair celebration.”
