UB to hold forum on health employment

A job opportunity and training forum will be held May 14 geared toward individuals interested in health care.

“Pathways to Careers in the Medical Sector” will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the University at Buffalo’s Educational Opportunity Center, 555 Ellicott St., adjacent to the UB Gateway Building in downtown Buffalo.

It is sponsored by the UB Office of the Vice Provost for Educational Collaboration and Engagement.

The forum is designed to provide information about careers that will result from the expansion of health care in the region, especially on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

Top industry officials will be available to talk about health care employment and projections for future workforce needs. They will include representatives from Empire State Development, Erie County Medical Center, UB’s New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, and the McGuire Group.
