Miss America 2014, Nina Davuluri, will address a luncheon hosted by the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. next Thursday, May 15, in the Twentieth Century Club, 595 Delaware Ave.
Davuluri was among more than 13,000 women nationwide who competed for the title of Miss America 2014.
In addition to being crowned the winner of its $50,000 scholarship award, she is the first person of Asian-Indian descent to wear the crown.
Davuluri’s remarks at the luncheon will focus on “Celebrating Diversity Through Cultural Competency.”
