BATAVIA – City School District voters approved an additional $19,441 toward a $1.2 million Richmond Memorial Library budget on Tuesday by a vote of 238-43. The additional money is for retirement and salary expenses.

The school district owns the library, which is managed by a board of trustee, Norman Argulski, a retired teacher, was the only candidate for a 5-year term on the board of trustees. He received 265 votes.

The library, a gift of the Dean Richmond family, is celebrating its 125th year.
