Students at St. Francis High School in Athol Springs have donated $5,000 for Catholic Charities, Brother Nicholas Romeo, director of campus ministry at the school, reports.

Contributions were made on four consecutive Tuesdays during Lent. Students were encouraged to make a sacrifice by donating their snack money, Romeo says. A total of $5,836.50 was collected, of which $836.50 will be donated to the St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy Summer Camps program.
