Wells III, president, e3communications.


Nathan Riexinger of Lancaster High School won the 2014 Junior Achievement Business Plan Challenge, receiving a $2,000 scholarship provided by Delta Air Lines. A team consisting of Danielle Arnold and Megan Krebs from Pembroke High School took second place; they were awarded the John Lord Hettrick Sr. Memorial Scholarship, with each receiving $500. Grace Herman of Lockport High School was third, winning a $500 scholarship from Junior Achievement of Western New York’s board of directors. Sixteen teams from seven schools participated in the competition, pitching their concepts to a panel of judges.


University at Buffalo School of Management associate professor Darren Treadway was named a founding fellow of the U.S. Academy on Workplace Bullying, Mobbing and Abuse. The academy is a joint initiative between the Workplace Bullying Institute and the New Workplace Institute.


The Advertising Club of Buffalo recently recognized these communications students as part of its annual Don Nichols Scholarship competition: Jessica Puskar, first place; Lucy Norton, second place; Ali Casarsa, third place; and Grace Gruarin, honorable mention. All students are from Villa Maria College.

Company Connections

Fetch Logistics, a third-party logistics provider, was awarded the 2013 “Best in Cargo Security” award by CargoNet. Fetch Logistics was awarded this honor because it takes full advantage of the support, intelligence and education that CargoNet provides its members.


Trellis Marketing produced a series of new television commercials and videos for Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare. The ad agency also created a theater-themed ad that will run at area theaters. Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare has offices in Amherst and Niagara Falls.


Peerless Manufacturing Co., Orchard Park, was awarded a $256,608 federal contract for nine units of engine exhaust silencers 140-foot mufflers from the U.S. Coast Guard’s Surface Forces Logistics Center, Baltimore.
