NLL down to four teams

The final four of the National Lacrosse League playoffs have been determined, and the Buffalo Bandits earned an invitation to the party.

The Bandits’ win over Toronto on Saturday gave them a spot in the East final against the Rochester Knighthawks. Both teams will have the chance to host a game. Buffalo will have its home game on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with the teams playing in Rochester a week from Saturday.

Tickets for the game in Buffalo are on sale through or by calling 866-467-2273. In addition, the First Niagara Center box office will sell tickets starting at 9 a.m. today.

If both teams have a win through two games, they will immediately play a 10-minute mini-game to determine which team reaches the NLL championship.

In the West, Calgary defeated Colorado in overtime late Saturday night to advance. The Roughnecks will host Edmonton in the West final on Saturday. The Rush will host the concluding game, or games, in the series on May 16.

The championship round will follow the same format in the following two weekends.
