Lockport crack dealer pleads guilty to two felonies

LOCKPORT – A Lockport man pleaded guilty in Niagara County Court Friday to selling crack cocaine in January 2013 and having more crack when police subsequently raided his apartment.

Anderson Davis, 20, of High Street, admitted to fifth-degree sale and attempted fourth-degree possession of a controlled substance. County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III said he will sentence Davis concurrently June 19; that means a maximum of 2½ years behind bars.

He sold crack to a police informant on Jan. 28, 2013, in Lockport. On May 1, 2013, the county Drug Task Force used a search warrant to enter an apartment on Washington Street and seized 1.29 ounces of crack in the pocket of a sweatshirt. Davis admitted Friday that the shirt and the crack were his, saving the prosecution the trouble of having a DNA test done on the shirt.

The raid resulted after an informant allegedly bought crack from Davis at the apartment on April 22 and 26, 2013.
