The Buffalo Niagara region’s entry in the National Automotive Technology Competition in New York City last week finished 13th out of 30 two-member teams of vocational education students.
Matt Foster and Andy Plewniak, of the Niagara Career and Technical Center in Sanborn, competed on behalf of the Niagara Frontier Automobile Dealers Association. They won a regional competition in January, and their instructor was Jasper Adams.
A team from Wisconsin won the national competition, which is held annually at the New York International Auto Show. The two-day contest consists of both a written test and a hands-on diagnosis and repair segment.
