An 18-year-old Burgard High School student was arrested at his Minnesota Avenue home shortly after he allegedly punched and kicked and severely injured a younger student in the school cafeteria about 12:30 p.m. Thursday over a flap the victim had recently with the suspect’s brother. Andrew Rogers was charged with a felony count of second-degree assault and harassment for allegedly breaking the victim’s left jaw, knocking out several of his teeth and causing a deep cut on his mouth before he calmly walked out of the school. The injured student was taken to Women and Children’s Hospital for treatment.
