The Niagara Area Foundation has awarded a total of $50,000 in grants to nine nonprofits in Niagara County that were deemed to have the greatest impact on youth development and demonstrated collaboration with other groups, the organization announced.

Recipients of grants of up to $10,000 were the Dale Association, Invent Now, Isaiah 61 Project, Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Clubs, People and Possibilities, Twin Cities Community Outreach, Youth Mentoring Services of Niagara County, YWCA of Niagara and YWCA of the Tonawandas.

The Niagara Area Foundation was established in 2000 as a division of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo.
