NIAGARA FALLS – A hit-and-run driver who struck a parked car twice in the 8500 block of Munson Avenue Wednesday night was easy to spot after she drove away with no headlights and a front flat tire.
While still on the scene of the crash, police saw Kathleen M. Ellis, 45, as she pulled into her driveway in the 700 block of 85th Street. Ellis was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated unlicensed operation and unsafe lane change.
At 9 p.m. a witness saw someone hit a parked car, then back up, put the car into drive and hit it again, causing extensive front end damage to the other car before leaving the scene.
Police found a bottle of vodka between the driver’s and passenger’s seats. Ellis told police she had had six drinks. She was found with a blood alcohol level of 0.35 percent, more than four times the legal limit.
