Woman charged with ability impaired driving after she strikes an inspection booth at the Falls bridge

NIAGARA FALLS – A Fairport woman faces charges after a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer said she nearly hit a car in front of her and then struck an inspection booth at 8 p.m. Monday at the Rainbow Bridge.

Lindsay N. Salatino, 34, of County Line Road, was charged by Niagara Falls police with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

Police said she was found staggering and swaying. Salatino said she had taken about six pain pills for migraine. She was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation.
