ALBION – A 22-year-old Rochester parolee was being held in the Orleans County Jail following his arrest Monday afternoon in the Wal-Mart store parking lot on Route 31 and the seizure from his vehicle of 6.7 grams of alleged crack cocaine in 23 bags with a total street value of more than $1,500.

Laquan J. Simmons of Arborwood Lane, was arrested by the Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force and Orleans County sheriff’s deputies following an investigation that included his alleged sale of crack to undercover agents.

Simmons was arraigned before Albion Town Justice Kevin Howard on two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third-degree. Supervising Investigator Joseph F. Sacco said Simmons is on parole for Rochester crimes.
